LOL,....this might get expensive in terms of cost-per-HP but you do have a few choices.
1) Chip (properly done, of course)
2) Factory Power kit; about 325+ HP.
3) Some find of forced induction kit; Caveat Emptor.
Beyond that, its GT-3 time,.........

I believe what Steve may have been trying to tell you is that the 996 engine has had most of the useable HP already wrung out of it without getting into a big expense (25HP for $15K with the retrofit X51), or getting into probably unreliable if not engine blow-up probable mods (forced induction). You will be better off making performance enhancements to the brakes, suspension, tires, etc. For that there is a lot on this board. Just do a search.
