i did a search but still looking for some opinions.
using the stock seat in lowest position with helmet on hits the roof maybe need 1.5 to 2 inches. what seats are recommended and would they lower the seat that much?
also - any of these seat options allow my wife to drive? seats with adjustable padding/inserts etc. as she is a good bit smaller. thanks
GT3 seats can be lower, Recaro SRD's are much lower than stock and Porsche has an option for lowering the seat height 10mm, but thats not too much overall.
Most race seats have fixed backs, so you won't be able to adjust the rake for your wife but you can move the seat fore and aft. You can get styrofoam custom seat inserts made but getting some sheets of foam is cheaper and easier. That's what they use at the single seater race schools in order to adjust for different size drivers.
You may want to check with Carnewal but the GT3 seats I got didn't appear to have any way to lower them, unless you take off the rails complete and just use a bracket to bolt the seat to the floor. This will loose the fore/aft adjustment if it is even possible.
