996 window tinting
I want to tint the back windows in my 996 but I read in a post that it is difficult to do because of the border "bumps" on the back windows. This is a dot pattern around the windo edge. Any advice?

If you take it to a good shop they won't have any probelms. Understand, you will probably see the bumps even with teh tint over them. I had this on my BMW. I'm pretty fanatic and it didn't bother me.

Search for a previous post I did on "window tinting". The long and short of it is: A reputable shop that works on nice cars daily will not have trouble with it. .
On the other hand, if they say that they need to "shave off" the matrix, run out the door screaming.

BTW, That post you should search for is in the 996 Turbo forum, not the regular 996 forum.

Thanks for the input. I also searched the web after my post and found a page dedicated to this "dot matrix" problem. Worth scanning if you're thinking of tinting. Here is the link.
