How do you remove the glove box cover from the center console.
I am having the center console painted and cannot figure out how the lid is removes from the glove box aft of the e-brake handle. Everything else snaps off easily, but I am stumped on that. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Pat

I had to saw off the pop rivets to have access to the retaining strap and related spring as well. I found all of my info on renntech.org. This is a start

The first two years were the cheap plastic hinge. After Porsche replaced a few hundred consoles with that flawed design, they developed the hinge kit. Pop riveted into the back, and with the old plastic built in shaved off, it provides a more sturdy hinge mount. The screws in that shot will relieve the holdback unit, but you still need to get the entire hinge pin and assembly out.
We do send full instructions with our painted consoles so installation is usually a snap.
Email me: eric@bumperplugs.com and I'll try to snag the instruction sheet for ya, bro.
