If I recall, you need a wrench and a socket (deep socket?) to loosen the nuts that secure the hardtop receptacle to its mounting plate.

Tell me if this sounds right.....I'll assume that youe would be loosen the nut on the bottom (an open-end would work there).....then use the socket on top to snug it and probably keeping track of # of turns or whatever. Unfortunately, then you really don't know where you are at until you put the top on and have a look-see on fit.....and may have to remove and go through process again.
