Also depends on exterior colour. I dont think Speed yellow outside and yellow console inside will go. Way too loud inside.

AND It wont retain value on selling

I tried to order this option (XME, I think) on a 2003, but was told it isn't available. There was another option for "Alu-Look" rear center console.

For $800 you can have a Porsche Carbon Fiber console. I have it and it looks great. I've seen the painted consoles, and although they look fine, they don't dress the car up.

I have the carbon fiber console - adds class. I have seen the painted console... only looks hot in yellow... hot in a slutty, not classy kind of way.

Love it. My C4S is artic silver/black interior supple leather and the silver console looks great!

I think the center console rocks. I really like it in my guards red C2. Now when I see Porsches without, I think it's missing something. In my humble opinion of course....

I don't have it, since I went with the full leather package which included that piece in leather (in my case graphite grey). But I really like the look. Personally, I think it would look great in speed yellow, guards red or lapis blue (or similar blue) - and yes - its looks very cool in carbon fiber (which I thought was a $1,300 option, rather than $800) and really adds to umph to an othewise rather boring interior (IMO). But of course, its just a matter of taste which is why it is an option and why so many colors are available in these cars to begin with.

I may have my GR C4S rear center console painted GR or possibly AS. Think that it gives the car a sportier look, although it may require a bit more maintanence. Also on console check out the non-smokers tray that replaces the ashtray and a front center console storage bin to replace the cassette or CD storage peice that comes with the car. As long as we are on the interior, don't forget to consider aluminum guage faces, deviating stiching, colored seat belts, to name a few of the more prominent options.

Get it. I would order Speed Yellow Ext/Black Int with both center and rear console in yellow. Yes, it's in your face look, but Porsche is in your face car, so why pretend otherwise

I have Arctic Silver car with AS center console It looks great I love it! It is very durable No scratches or scuffs yet! 1 Year old now with 20k miles on the car. Kids in and out all the time. The door sills have mild scuffs on them though...
