NSX vs. Porsche
#16
<img border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" title="" src="graemlins/bigok.gif" /> There are a few NSX's that run with the Chin club down here in the SE. One has been super-charged... and seems to be the quickest of the bunch. A well driven NSX, will "hang" with the standard Porsche... a TT will blow them away though! They are fun to watch @ the track.

I thought that the NSX was tuned for competing against a 993? Not to bash on 993's or NSX's, but my interpretation is that the NSX is basically on old technology that is being updated as bug fixes and minor improvements for performance are made. The car is built on an old platform which was designed for a market of E36 M3's, 993's, etc.
I raced an older NSX supercharged back when I had my 996 engine bolt ons, and basically we were dead even, actually me pulling away by inches after 130mph.
IMO, if a person is going to compare an NSX to a Porsche, and chose the NSX over the porsche, then perhaps they don't care about the ideals of owning a porsche (which is their business) and they might as well look at a Corvette Z06. Comparing the two NSX and Corvette are more appropriate and I would like to know which one they consider better.
