My 2002 996 Turbo won't go into gear when the engine is running. When the engine is off it will go into gear. When I try to start the engine in gear with clutch depressed the car starts to move. The pedal seems a bit low to the floor. Last night it seemed like the clutch was engaging early (close to the floor).

The problem reminds me of a problem I have had with BMWs when the clutch slave cylinder needed bleeding.

Anything I should try? or immediate call to dealer?

I think (as new as your car is) that you should call the dealer. Could be a leak or a bad clutch slave cylinder.
