Lux TAX
Is it possible/legal to take delivery and not register ,etc and not pay the lux tax until jAn 1st when it expires? i don't want to have to wait until january to take delivery on a car that will arrive probably sometime november...

Purcahse date it the key...
If a dealer will allow you to "test drive" it until 1.1.03 you are clear for the Luxury tax..
The LUX TAX payment is to the FED's not the state, so it has nothing to do with "registering" or "Licensing" the car.
