Does anyone have a narrow body 996 with wide lip wheels? Custom or not...would like to see pics of different set-ups. Please post pics and info...thanks.
Miko......lip width is not really a wheel spec......suggest you start with 1.)what size tire you want to run and 2.)where you want your outer rim & tire to be 'positioned' relative to your fender. Then, given that you are talking 8J, 9J, 10J, or whatever, this will give you your desired offset.
Pic a wheel style you like (and I' assuming you like reverse drop flat lip rims), and then ask reseller what lip depth that offset will get you......it will vary from style to style.
FYI.........narrow body 996 rear fenders can easily handle down to 50mm offset (or a tad lower) on 10J 18" wheels (with OE rubber).
Stay with 18s.
Thanks for the info, fellas. Trying to really make a decision soon as to what to get. Really like your wheels, Alex. Just curious, do your rear wheels stick out of the fenders?
