I had been looking for an experienced installer for the 3M film (StonGard, X-Pel, ClearBra, etc.) and after talking with StonGard, X-Pel and people on this forum I contacted:
Protech
Contact - Jim Stangohr
3 Bernard Court
Buffalo Grove, IL 60089
847-502-7003
My '00 C4 had an old StonGard on the hood which I wanted removed and replaced with the new, larger X-Pel piece as well as the front bumper and mirrors package.
Jim did a great job. He easily removed the old film and the paint underneath it matched the uncovered part of the hood perfectly. Watching his install of the new film it was easy to see why I didn't want to do this myself! Jim has been doing this for several years and doesn't need 'relief cuts' to get coverage on the difficult parts. I can highly recommend the product as installed by Protech/Jim Stangohr.

Kerry, saw Stone Guard post. I'm in the prosses of having similar install done on my '02 C2.
I'm not sure of the "brand" name but could U give me a "ballpark" # of your cost?
My Porsche garage folks say Appx. $750.... does this sound rite?

Buckdr1, you can go to Armourfend in Greenwich CT/Rye New York. I got my O2C2 done with the full treatment. Includes wheel wells, door sills, the panels by the rear wheels, as well as the entire front(virtually everything you can see) and the mirrors. They do a great job, and I was done in about four hours.
