Post 996 Pre-Purchase Questions

I went with my dad to look at a '99 996 C2 Cabrio for him today. Unfortunately I'm not shopping for my p-car yet

A few things... Neither of us like the looks of the hardtop nor the fact that it prevents top-down driving. Is there a resale market for Guards Red tops?

What would the original MSRP be on this car, equipped with:
Guards Red
Black Leather (partial leather upgrade)
18" Technology rims
Tiptronic
3-spoke wheel
Navigation
CD Changer
Dual power seats

And what would be a good current price? It's from a high-end used car dealer. None of the rims have been curbed, the right rear fender has a 2" horizontal scratch - not that bad, the paint seems good so I think it's accident free, 26,000 miles, no heated seats or litronic, 10/98 build, factory warranty until 3/2003.

How can I tell if the car is equipped with limited slip differential? They didn't have the original window sticker.

Thanks in advance!

My opinion (and I own a '99 GR 996 Cab but with a few more options, same mileage)...

Forget the Cab...GET THE 959! Wow! Stunning.

Go to AutoReports.com, kbb.com or some of the car sites for an idea of what the car is worth, and check eBay as well. The market for 99's is not bad, but I'm a seller (soon) and if you want a pristine car like this with a few more options, let me know.

And as you can see, top down driving is fine year round! Actually, never put the top down in under 40 degree temps (mine was in a 50+ degree garage prior to rolling out for the shot).
