Any ideas on how to clean the plastic 996 rear window? I have variations in transparency and I have the car just one year.
The Polywindow cleaner that Porsche supplied with the car doesn't seem to work.
Suggestions for cleaners?
Suggestions for polishers?
Thanks

First, use the Porsche Plastic window cleaner on a new wax pad. Apply 4-5 daubs of the cleaner to the pad, and work it in one direction, and do so quickly.
Follow with a 100% cotton diaper and remove all the dried cleaner (it dries very fast). Again, work linear, side to side, not up/down/left/right.
Then take a clean cotton diaper and spray with Plexus. Follow the same procedure wiping the Plexus on, then flipping the cotton diaper over and wiping off.
Repeat on the other side of the window.
My 996 Cab window stays clear for several weeks this way (without rain, of course).Eric's Site

Megyars (spelling phonetic) makes three types of cleaners for plastic windows and polishing and removing surface scratches that are quite effective. Larry Reynolds of Car Care Specialties carries them. His web site is www.carcarespecialties.com. HE also advertises in Excellence Magazine and Porsche Panorama.

I first wash the window (inside and out) with soap and water, drying with a terry-cloth towel, and then use Meguiars cleaner (#17) to clean and remove haze, followed by Plexus as a polish. (I have a '91 C2 cab)
I recommend http://www.autofanatics.com for detailing stuff. (no affiliation, just an extremely satisfied customer). They have a broad selection and extremely knowledgeable staff.

I had a Boxster for 4 years and with regular use of Plexus, the window looked like new when I sold it. I was absolutely convinced that was the best product. Used the recommended Porsche stuff, the Mequiars, nothing better than Plexus.
