Default Tri-State (NY/NJ/CT) Drive Pics

Some pics from last Sunday's FunRun through upstate NY. Wide variety of 911s showed. Several 911s, 993s, 964s, 996s, a Noble, couple of vipers and a supercharged M3. About 20-30 cars. Great time and the drive was awesome... Thanks again to Jon (JbRipps) for setting it up.

Noble m12...

martin's supercharged m3. One of the best sounding and looking M3's I've seen. Very clean and well done... The pics don't do it justice at ALL. And it pulled on me like a *****

my black 996 and older 911's in the back

Nice silver 911

wow, how was the noble? I have considered those in the past, but there are so many issues with insurance, longeivity of the fibrglass body, maintennance, etc.. I notice he has dealer plates. thats one way around the registration issues.

It was a great day, we must have driven 120 miles or so. All at the speed limit of course.

Awesome pics - thanks for sharing - what a great collection of cars - the Noble looks pretty hot - it's also interesting to see the Viper. I remember how appealing those cars once seemed, but now being the proud owner of a 5 year old Porsche, it's amazing how much more appealing and timeless the Porsche style is compared to the Viper's outdated look (sorry if anyone has a Viper too - I'm sure they are a blast to drive). I am a HUGE football fan, but "raclaims", you picked the Jets over this drive with the cars and the fall colors? You really love to torture yourself (I can say this - I grew up in Detroit and am a Lions fan even though they've always been horrible). I think only an improbable playoff and super bowl run would cause me to miss this drive.

BlackCab, I picked the Jets over the drive too, and after seeing the cars and the leaves, the Tri-State drive definitely seems better than the Jets final drive on Sunday. ;-)

I am definitely in the next time something like this is organized!

I agree...in typical fashion they give you hope and tear your heart out...next time I will Tivo the Jets game! They are saying on ESPN radio this morning that the Jets are going after T.O.!

signal 9 - The Noble was insane! Eventhough it was the m12 model, it still looked and sounded crazy. The driver who brought it to the run just opened up a dealership in NY distributing them. The one pictured is for sale, somewhere around the mid-70s. I've never seen one in person until until the run, but it definitely was amazing looking even in that understated color.

blackcab - couldn't agree more. Vipers dated design doesn't do it for me either.
