I know this question will be easy for many of you. I need to place to put my jack stands on each side of the front of my 996. Obviously, I have the jack points but can't exactly put my jack stands there while I am jacking up the front of my car. Any other spots that are safe?
Thanks guys!

Use the front jack points for the jack stands. Jack the car up from the rear utilizing the rear jacking points. The chassis is stiff enough that by jacking from the rear you will raise the front.
