Has anybody installed an aftermarket phone kit on a 996 with PCM II? Does the PCM II allow for a mute-in? Have you managed to get sound over the speakers, or are you using a seperate speaker?
Thanks,

I just installed the erickson bluetooth and am using the speaker that came with it. The additional erickson phone mute kit is not applicable on PCM2. There was a thread that I read that had a paris audio install where the mute was wired to work with this kit so I know it is possible. I haven't had a chance yet this week to follow loren's advice yet to see if I can find the the 4 wire connector called telephone prep. Not totally sure if this is something hanging from the back of the PCM or if it is an option we need to purchase?
Where did you install your microphone? I put mine in the center overhead light console for aesthetics, but this is clearly not the best operational place as my callers all feel like they are on spreaker phone.
