Default Stabil Gas Preservative

I want to put one of my cars up this winter and not drive it. Has anyone used Stabil? Would you recommend it, not recommend it?

Anyone used it in their P/car?

Thx...

Jim

I use it every year on my boats, which are chevy engine, fuel injected. Keeps all componants from varnishing up. Starts right up in the spring. 12 years no problems. Make sure you run the engine to get it to all components. Works on mowers, snow blowers and all gas engines.

Not too shabby in your morning expresso either ...I've been varnish-free now for 2 years.

Thx Jim...

Going to be storing the Porsche for a while as well while traveling. Would you hesitate using it in your P/car if your were not going to drive it for two months maybe three?

Thx...

Wasn't your shop mentioned in the "Gold plated Porsche" by Stephan Wilkinson?

He had some good things to say about you.

Hi Jim:

Yessir, that's me,....

Stefan is really a neat guy and was a lot of fun to collaborate with on his 911 hot-rod project.

Jim - two or three months? Maybe you could have it sealed in a clear bra with a zipper while your gone. Kind'a like a zip loc bag!

Hey Tim...

I think they have something like that for the real "****" types. I saw something in the Midlands catalog, I think, it was a large plastic bubble that you park your car in and fill it with air. I damn near died laughing.

Funny thing about a month ago...I pulled up next to a big brand new goldish colored BMW. It was about 135 feet long and 120 feet wide the kind for guys who like to tell the world what good taste they have (in abundance). I looked over at his car and noticed that he had the entire front end done up in this clear bra, the entire bumper, up the sides of the front fender and up about 6 inches on the hood. I mean this guy must have spent $4000.00 in Saran wrap.

I blipped the beast and pushed down my window and said "nice car" to which he gave me a thumbs up. Then I said: "its really to bad you can see all those cut lines on the clear bra. It kind of ruins the look...". He sort of smiled and had a perplexed look on his face...hmmm! "cut lines".

LOL!...
