Is all four sensors going to the Motronic and the Motronic is sending a speed signal to the speedometer ?
Is it possible to see if any previous owner have manipulate the mileage by disconnecting the speed sensors?

I think the speed sensors go to the ABS unit. If one was disconnected the ABS light would go on. I have driven my car without an instrument cluster, that is one way to do it, or remove the correct wire from the back of the cluster.

You can get a rough idea if something is fishy by getting the engine operating hours out of the DME with the PST2 and compare it to the miles on the odo. There is some formual which I forget but it assumes an average speed, then you look at the miles and operating hours and see if it fits with the average speed. Jeff
