iPod Install
I saw the post re: Sirius radio and figured someone might want to do something similar with an iPod.
My wiring is described in a reply to an earlier post (search on "Would NE1 know how I can play").
Here is how I handled "mounting" inside the car:
Since even the 10gig iPod can hold over 5 days worth of music, I could afford to sacrifice the CD storage trays. Pulled the whole storage box out of the center console, removed the individual CD drawers, and lined the inside of the box with leather to keep the iPod from sliding around. Routed the wire leading to the CDC to terminate just in back of the CD storage box. (Pic 1) Pulled the wire into the CD storage box as I reinstalled the box into the center console (Pic 2).
Note that this works with other MP3 players and anything else that has a headphones output jack.

Dmitri,
I do not believe this is an option on MY03+ headunits (MOST), as there are no longer analog/aux inputs. All command and content is transmitted optically via the fiber.
There is however a very nice FM modulator designed specifically for the iPod:

I have ordered one and am waiting for delivery (backordered).
Apart from the FM modulator, I know of no other way to interface an external device to the MY03+ systems.

... and it sounds horrable! Ofcourse this depends on where you are, but in Cincinnati - hardly a metropole - every possible FM frequency has a radio station. And if there is a free frequency at some place, a few miles down the road it will be filled. This causes so much interference (not to mention power lines) that it is not worth it. (And I was stupid enough to buy a second, higher power model thinking it would be better...)
