Hello all. Contingent to a pre-purchase inspection at a dealer I’ll be taking delivery of my new used 1999 C4 Cab on Friday.

This is the first car I have seen that seems to be ‘missing’ the cd storage / shelf unit that attached between the console and the bottom of the dash. Please see the picture below. Is this normal? Does anybody know where I can find a new or good quality used one for a black interior?

I searched the archives and came up with nothing.

The car had GT3 console delete - which is normal mods for Pcar owner. you can find some good deal on ebay if you must have CD/storage tray.

Actually, it looks great without it. Reminds me of the old 993s. Very classic Porsche look. Clean.

If you are looking for the console I have one that I will be removing this week to do the console delete. make me an offer if you are interested

I know people like me who find that the console rubs against their right leg will have the console delete done...plus it looks cool!
