Default Engine swap 3.4l to a 3.6l-Can it be done

I was thinking, my car is out of warranty (2000 Cab), and I have seen quite a few 3.6L engines for sale with really low miles. The extra HP would be good to have. Can the swap be easily done into my cab? Has anyone done this?

Thanks,

Tracy

yes, it can be done... but why?? for an extra 20hp?

Just sell your 3.4 and get a 3.6. Save the hassle and pain.... Or if you need more power, go the supercharger route...

As Jon said, it can be done, but isn't worth the hassle unless your 3.4 is already blown.

With prices for used GT3s in the crapper, I can't even understand why it would be worth it to do that. It would probably be better/cheaper in the long run just to sell the 996 and buy a used GT3.

If someone is bound and determined to keep their current car AND they simply cannot live without more HP, a supercharger seems to me like the only option that makes any sense at all from an overall bang for the buck standpoint.

Now, let's talk about dropping a GT3 motor into a stripped out Cayman S . . . .mmmmmmmmmmmmm
