Post Rattle is driving me crazy, help?

I have a 1999 996, It has gone through all the recalls for those body panel rattles, but one I just can't seem to get rid.

I have a rattle in the headliner, passenger back side. The rattle only happens when the inside of the car gets hot, i.e parked in the sun. As soon as the inside of the car is cooled by the AC it stops. I have had the headliner pulled back several times, put felt around areas that could make a rattle. It still rattles when hot.

It is troubling....Any advice would sure be appreciated.

Cool

I had a rattle in my '99 C2 headliner as well. The dealer found a rogue screw floating around. That took care of it. A possibility?

I had that problem with my 1999 996 C2. It was solved by the dealer under warranty. The dealer sent me to a body shop. They removed the headliner near the rear windshield. They sprayed adhesive foam into the area. I am told that the adhesive foam that Porsche used was defective so when the car is not in the sun [i.e. metal is cold] there is a gap and the old adhesive did not expand and contract as it is supposed to. The application of new adhesive solved the problem. If you need further help just let me know and I will get the phone number of the body shop here in Los Angeles so you can speak with them.
