I've been contacting various dealers about the GT3. Found one in a remote location that says they've placed their order for a silver GT3, production date is July. I'm the first on their wait list.

Question 1: Does this dealer's claim, that they have a July Prod date, sound legit?

Question 2: Do I need to get some kind of proof from this dealer that I am first on the list? What's to keep someone else from coming in and offering a higher price?

what dealer Donn? some are honest, some are not.

each dealer of 204 nationwide has at least 1 car around july build.

and proof will not help you if the dealer is not honest.

Very believable. I think there will be plenty of GT3's for truly interested buyers. I was offered the first GT3 from my local dealer only last month, at MSRP.

Ask them to fax you a copy of the order with the production number and status on it. If they can, then they have an order placed. If they give you some BS, you'll know something is up.

As far as I've heard there are people waiting here in the DC area and in FL for July allocations and they aren't out yet.
