I'm looking for a high quality peformance shop to install exhaust, headers, chips, etc.. in the Northern CA area, hopefully, north of San Francisco. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Just thought I would follow up and let you know the results of using The Racers Group.

They installed a set of Fabspeed headers and exhaust plus a unichip. Total hp gain was 28hp at the wheel. They have a dyno and used it extensively to tune the unichip in.

Overall, the service was great and the staff extremely knowledgeable.

How much did they charge you? I only have the Fabspeed exhaust currently but am considering to add headers and unichip.

 

Total cost for install and hardware was $3,900. The response and acceleration is awsome.

 

S-CARGO is in San Ramon north of SF. They have a tunning package for 996 for around $4500. It includes their own headers, Fabspeed muffler, air intake, and throttle body. They swap out the e-gas for throttle body, bore out the fuel injection (not sure if it is the right term) instead of chipping.

I will probably do it after my warranty expires...
