I ran a VIN at the dealer and this thing came up. What's it mean. Any help very appreciated. The dealer wasn't taking any time to explain since it wasn't on one of their cars.

are you sure you aren't referring to a cylinder sleeve lining? A cylinder can fall out of it's sleeve lining in the engine.. eventually causing an engine failuire (which i encountered) I haven't heard of a transmission sleeve though?

 

I'm assuming it's the sleeve that is bolted to the bell housing part tranny that the release bearing rides on, easy fix if tranny is out part is around $15.00 bucks when I replace mine.
