I'm looking at a set of 19" wheels for my '02 996 C2. The specific tire and wheel combination is a 19 x 8.5 front with 235/35/19 ContiSport 2 tires and a 19 x 10 rear with 295/30/19 ContiSport 2 tires.
I'm considering buying them slightly used and would like feedback on going from 18" wheels (the 5 spoke Porsche Carrera wheel with Pirelli P-Zero's) to 19" wheels and would love to hear specific experience with those tires. Thanks!!

Well...
I went from a set of 18" Carrera wheels with p-zeros to 19" SAC rg-5's with 245/35/19 - 275/30/19 AVS Sports...
Affected too much what's important to me...torgue or at least the sensation of it. The slighty taller tires were like raising the gear ratios. Top end was good, but low end suffered a little. Where I used to begun the fun at around 3850 rpms(2nd or 3rd gear)...now I was having to get into about 4400 to get the same results...
Not a bad thing, but not what I wanted.
Thus, I put a set of the same wheels (SAC rg-5's, known as Champion's to most) in 18's with my old p-zeros back on...
Now I'm happy...plus the 18's weight in at 18 and 18.5 respectively...
The AVS sports made sooo much noise, it drowned out the exhaust. I don't mind that tire nosie in a truck but not a p-car.
Others like the AVS's, and that's cool. And others like 19's and that's cool too. I wanted looks and performance, thus stayed with 18's.
