Has anyone tried these, they must be overkill for a sportscar. Probably practical for a big truck tho.

i'm a lil confused about brake technology.
if there are more pistons, doesn't that mean a heavier caliper, thus not really a desireable trait? and if there is that much more pressure from the pistons against the rotor, wouldn't thicker rotors be needed to prevent warpage?
i don't see the advantage here vs a 6 or 8 piston setup with good pads. (then again i'm about as much of a man of science as a monkey at a typewriter is william shakespear)

The additional pistons are to distribute contact surface and clamping force more evenly. Lightweight caliper material is used to reduce weight. Sometimes, it's more for show since brakes will easly lock up the tires any way.

With that large of a caliper throat opening and being two piece (not monoblock), I cannot imagine these being stiff enough to be more effective than OE Porsche Brembo systems.
