Just ordered PSS9 - can't wait for it to get here!
I've been considering many different suspension upgrades over the past short while and made up my mind to go with PSS9. I got a great deal at shox.com for $1899. Maybe could've done a little better, but with all the other prices I've seen this seemed like a great deal.
The reason I chose this system wasn't for the ability to periodically change heights, compression/rebound, etc.. but to dial it in to my tastes and then leave it there. With how adjustable this system is I feel confident that I will be able to find settings that I will be very happy with, whereas manytimes I've read that others were not completely happy with other systems that were not quite so adjustable. I've played with exotic racing suspensions for motorcycles for many years and I'm really looking forward to being able to play with a system on a Porsche.

I'll plan on posting pics before/after for ride height and also my impressions after installation. For starters, my stock suspension is extremely disappointing for a car of this calibre. They made it ride too much like a Lincoln and not enough like a sports car. The amount of body roll allowed is ridiculous in the stock setup. I can't even really feel like I'm able to push the tires to their limits without an amazing amount of roll.
I'm sure I'm not alone as far as being disappointed in a stock 996 suspension. My wife's Boxster S is far tighter in stock form. I was originally planning on row-M030 springs until I drove the Boxster S and that pretty much helped me make up my mind that I wanted to go all the way to a coil-over system.

I've had the PSS9's on my '99 C2 cab for about a month now, and just love them. The car handles infinitely better, and the low look makes a subtle, but definite improvement.
I've noticed MAJOR improvements at both the track and at autocrosses. It was definitely a good investment, no question about it.

P.S. Don't think that you can just change the ride height at will. I mean, you can, but you'll need to have the car aligned afterwards.
