Installing GT3 Wing & Decklid Question
I have purchased a 1999 996 C2 and am installing a GT3 wing and decklid. We have installed the decklid without any problems. The problem is occuring with the air intake. On the 996 it enters from the other side versus the GT3. I thought about fitting a K&N and making a bracket for the mass air flow sensor? Has anyone else done this and/or any other suggestions.
Thanks,
Barry

Assuming you are talking about the newer GT3 wing and not the Taco GT3 MKI wing: There are two versions of the newer style GT3 wing one designed and built for the GT3 (Air box is different then the C2/C4) and the CUPII wing which is made for the Aero kit on a C2/C4. I don't know what you can do in this case so I am not much help other then telling you what you might allready know.

This is an actual wing off a street GT3 that was converted to a full blown race car. I looked at a street GT3 box and compared them with the 996 C2 box. The opening on the GT3 box is on the right and the opening on the 996 C2 box is on the left. Both of the wings have the fan in the same place on the left. After talking to a mechanic it may not matter even with the box opening on the left under the fan? The only other option would be fabricating something?
