Question 996 TURBO TAIL ON 996 C2 CABRIOLET

Hi guys
I am a new 996 owner based in the UK, having previously owned a 964, 944 and 924 - I'm getting there slowly.
I am delighted with my 2001 996 C2 Cab. Tiptronic but feel the looks would be enhanced by the fitment of a 996 Turbo tail spoiler in place of my existing "power up" standard tail spoiler.
Can anyone advise me if the Turbo engine cover/spoiler will fit my 996? If so, will there be many mods needed to fit. e.g. the air inlet, electric fan etc. Also, the Turbo tail is hydraulically lifted, will this work on my C2 or become redundant?
Any help and advise gratefully received.
Many thanks
JR

A turbo wing will not fit your C2. There are companies that make Turbo-like wings, but you either have to install the blade in the up or down position. Iknow one person made the Turbo wing work, but I think a lot of work was involved and it was a wide body conversion car.

A popular wing that many of us (me included) have is Misha's Wing. Good quality...but not sure this is the look you're going after.

Thanks Itzkirb.
My problem is that I went out and purchased a 996 Turbo tail lid and spoiler on e.bay for £500 without checking first.
Anyone want to buy a Basalt Black Turbo lid in perfect condition?!

go to anzianos.com that's where i bought my turbo look spoiler. fit and finish were pretty good. the only thing that could have been done better is the way the brake light is mounted. i'm the only one that seems to notice it though. seems to be the same wing that mashaw.com, getty, and another tuner (can't remember right now) are selling. apparently there is only one person somewhere making them for everybody.

there is another variation of the turbo look wing out there as well. i've only seen one car with it. robertm from the 6speed board has it. not bad from a distance, but i didn't care for it as much up close. however, his did do a better job of mounting the brake light.

Your cab will not fit a big spoiler given the rear cover slides back. I don't think Misha wing works for cabs either, could be wrong though.

Just sell the lid you've got.

thanks for all your help on this issue guys.
Looks like I will have to sell the Turbo lid I bought and start again.
I think the turbo tail on Deputydog95's Cab looks pretty cool and is the look I am trying to achieve.
Anyone in the UK sell this wing?

i don't think so. with the current exchange rate, you'r better off buying it here in the US. our dollar seems like it's worthless these days

you can get it from anzianos, mashaw, getty, and there's one more that i can't remember. they're all the exact same wing. you can see it and pricing at anzianos.com
