I saw this posted in the 997 forum (click on link below):
2nd Annual Toys For Tots Charity Exotic Car Show

I attended this event last year, thanks to great promotion by the 993 rennlist folks. I had an amazing time!!! This event is huge in the Wow and WOW!!! department. We had a Malibu Canyon run prior to arriving at the show.

If you live in So. California, enjoy driving your car, want to do something cool for kids, and enjoying checking out exotic cars (and the usual exotic passengers that go in them ) this is an event that you certainly cannot miss!!!

So mark your calendars for DEC 4th.

Lets show what a great community the Rennlist folks are!!!

Looks like I will have to try to make the drive. This is the first I have heard of it. I have worked for Toys for Tots in the past but this looks like a lot more fun. I'll pass the word.

This is such a great opportunity to help those that are less fortunate than we are. I would love to organize such an event on the east coast and wanted to know if anyone had resources involved.

Fast4oth, thanks for all the support. Last year was an amazing success becuase of everyone who helped promote and attend. For those of you who were not there, we had 600+ cars, mostly european, over 100 ferraris, ~100 porsches, 20 lambos, and a variety of others. We (the socal motorsport community) raised an amazing 2300 toys in 4 hours. The event was great becuase everybody was kind and considerate. This year, i expect we will pull in over 1000 cars and the target is 5000 toys for 2005. Countrywide has generously donated their facility in Agoura. All efforts are 100% donated, and any money donated that is not used to cover the cost of the event will be used to buy more toys. There is no cost to attend, we just ask that the money you would have otherwise spent on an entry, buy an extra toy or 2. Expect an amazing tournout. aben, The toys for tots is a Marine Corps Reserve sponsored event. You could contact a nearby Marine Reserve center and put the idea in their head about this event. Give them the website and tell them they could raise a lot of toys like the West Coast event. The unit may say too busy or sounds like a good idea.

OK no excuses... This Sunday DEC 4th if you live in So Cal you have to attend this event. We need plenty of P-car support (especially the 996 contingency). So plan on joining a fun canyon run prior to the event.
