Default Roof Spoiler - Carbon or other?

has anyone put on a roof spolier for their car? Eric has a pretty nice carbon fibre one now available. Any pics?

i never understood the 'roof spoiler' such as these for Porsches...
but, indeed, to each his own.

Too much rice... And wouldn't this contraption change the laminar airflow dynamics to the point that it may deflect or cause additional turbulence, whereby downforce of the standard wing might be compromised?

I think they look great on the 993 body when its colour keyed to the car, I have thought about buying one, but I would 100% get it painted.

Agree with Paul, I think it works on a 993, but the AD characteristics of a 996/997 are way different, otherwise Ruf would be doing it. Def paint if you do it!

one of the 911 writers from Toronto looks like his 993 has the roof spoiler. I agree, their window design seems more suited to the option.

trying to see if there are other pic's - it is not that expensive but enought that it would be frustrating having it sitting in the garage after a month.

I wasn't trying to bite I just see a lot of roof spoilers on Hondas, Mitsubishis, Acuras..etc, and IMO think the Porsche is in a different mod category

I have it on my car here:
http://www.sharkwerks.com/galleries/...lackmambagt850

It's one of Mishas and fits great. I always liked how the 993's were so I tried it and stuck to it

sharkster - that is one very impressive gallery. i love the front end shot of the 3 super cars.

BTW - can you drive that on normal roads given the almost zero clearance front end?

regards

Thanks man!! I drove it 250 miles to the drag strip and back... had to go eat and drive up and down ramps etc.. then we just drove to Ventura 350 miles... Basically it's a hassle being that low since you have to go out sideways like crazy but the car's chasis is so stiff that it just lifts a wheel or two off of the groung...
