Default Direction?

Looking for a little direction. Looking for a 996 Coupe + Tip as a daily driver to go with a 964 targa that is used as a weekend car. The 996 will never be tracked and only driven very short distances. Are there years to avoid or work that I need to ensure has been completed?

No years are "bad" per se, and the only major issue has been RMS failures, which occur intermittently (you can't predict). The '02 and up cars have a significant number of improvements, but are priced accordingly. For any car outside of warranty, get a PPI.
