front bumbper skid plate

Has anyone installed some kind of front bumper skid plate after you lower the car? and where is a good place to get the engine skid plate.

I saw an ad for one at the Auto Gallery in Woodland Hills. Some company is making plastic skid plates that fasten under the front.
