That's what I'm thinking... Pay $200 to get it taken care of with a slight increase in rates or buy one from a rennlist member and have it taken care of for about $500-600 bucks.

A front bumper cover, if my memory serves me well, is about $600.00 from your Porsche dealership...then there is painting on top of that. So if you go new, you'll probably be looking at maybe around a $1000...maybe more/less.
In any event don't forget about the possibility of making an insurance claim and putting the issue behind you.
Good luck with your 'new' car!

Also, I had an aerokit bumper repaired. If it is just a small crack at the bottom, it will barely be noticeable. I''ll bet your insurance company would pay for a repair and waive your deductible.

I wouldn't even risk asking them. THEY DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!!!! And when you least expect it, BAM your rates go up and they come back with "you reported an accident in 8/2005".

Well, LVDell, I did it. I've been all over the place today. I stopped by a Geico Claims center way over in Brentwood MD(the only ones availbe to see me today). I just got a quote of ~2200, this includes a new rim(there are some deep spider scratches from the steel belts of the tire tread). They will replace the bumper cover, a few panels underneath the vehicle, the rear plastic piece on the rear wheel well and I got them to do some touch up work on the hood.

Well they are going to replace the bumper cover and paint my hood(a huge bonus for me). My car will look brand new..
I asked them about paint peeling and they indicated that they do the work based on Porsches guidelines of mixtures and flex additives and not Geico's standards which I've received on my old Nissan.
The car has been in the shop since 9/6/05..
