Default Shifter kit question

I am very encouraged by the comments in some threads about a drastic improvemnt after installing a B & M short shift kit. I am about to order one. The question is: Will the shifter and boot look exactly the same?
Here is a picture of my present factory shifter and leather boot.

Thanks guys

Yes, when you pull up the horseshoe piece to expose the inside you will see that the shifter is set on the shaft with a set screw. The original fits on the B&M perfectly. If you want to see how it is attached, just grap the back part of the horseshoe with two fingers and pull up. It is just clipped in and will pop right out.

Yes, it will look the same. However, it may NOT be attached with a set screw like CLL ACAB stated. Some of the OEM shift ***** just pull off because they do not have a set screw. Check for the screw first, though. If no screw, then it simply pulls off. Be very careful though, because it is hard to pull off. Yyou have to exert a lot of force to get it off and suddenly it comes loose. You could knock your front teeth out. Really!

That shifter is tall enough for a lightning strike. Do the SSK ;well worth the time & money.
