Hi all -- one of the few blemishes on my 996 when I purchased it was a scratched wheel rim (I guess from the prior owner brushing a curb). I added one of my own as well recently (yes, I am an idiot). I heard there are people who can "sand out" (?) these problems and blend them into the wheels?
Couple of questions: (1) Has anyone done this and are the results good?
(2) Any suggestions of people to use in South Bay area of Los Angeles? Pacific Porsche says they have someone that comes in, but I am looking for other suggestions.
Thanks!

You can always tell that the rim has had work done to it, but for the most part you won't notice. I would have the rim repainted not just airbrushed.

I was given this companies card at a dealer. They never returned my call, but I only tried once. "D&M mobile wheel repair service" 310-529-4076 or 909-354-7289 or toll free 866-DMWHEEL. Let us Know if these guys work out, I have two wheels I have been meaning to do for a while now.

Just north of South Bay in Culver City you will find "Wheel Enhancement" http://www.wheelenhancement.com/index.php?t=About I haven't used them for this type of repair yet, but I hear great things about them.
