Talking FabSpeed Exhaust System!

Hi all,

I just wanted to throw this out there just incase someone wanted them..... I sent out a set of FabSpeed Exhaust to a customer who REFUSED shipment ("wife didn't approve of purchase" was the reason ) and the box was sent right back to us UNOPENED.

I will give a $100.00 discount on the set just to move them.... If you are interested call or E-mail me and I'll make it happen!!!

Once I confirm the order I'll pass along instructions for the purchase! It's that simple....... I can have them ship today!!!!

I CAN SELL THEM WITH OR WITH OUT TIPS, EITHER WAY IT'S $100.00 OFF....

I may be interested. I'm deciding between the Europipe and the Fabspeed (unless the 997 GT3 is a dry sump).

I've had Fabspeeds on a 90, 91, 94, 98, and 2002 911s and I swear by them. I've met Joe F. and have visited their shop in PA. In fact Joe used my 02 996 for his production measurements because mine was a very early build. (no relationship or financial interest...just a very happy customer). Hadn't seen him in a few years and yet he found me at the PCA Parade in Hershey. He remembered me!

OK, I've installed the bypass pipes and here is my review, but before I start I want to state that Eli at Pelican Parts is a real standup guy and I will definately be dealing with again. I give him my highest recommendation.

The pipes:
Installation is a snap -what do I do with all the space behind the rear wheels now!?!
When I first started the car I was a little surprised at how quiet it was. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't quiet but I really thought the car would sound like a dragster. It has a low to moderate rumble at idle. During light acceleration the car again had a moderate rumble, and you can really hear when the variocam kicks in at around 3200 RPM. Moderate and heavy acceleration brings the beast to life with a growl. Not so loud as to hurt at all but there is no doubt the sound is loud. I think it sounds great! Cruising is not so good. There tends to be a drone (this is not the fault of the pipes but hearing the same RPM for a while gets tiring).

This is not the pipe for the daily driver unless you want to really hear the car.

I love it so much, I am not even trying the Fabspeed exhaust at all.

Mitch, Glad to see the by-pass worked out for you, I'll keep an eye out for your return of the Fabspeed Mufflers but like I said it's my vac time so I have Trinidad here to support you in my absence.

Take care and enjoy!

The original buyer you're refering to I assume.... /

Mitch "I'm sure" is the sort that would know how to handle it either way....

I handle these things the best way, I don't tell her. Just kidding! I have a very understanding wife.
