Foggy Windshield

Foggy Windshield
It's 80 degrees here in Nashville.....I set the temp to 70, and press Auto.....I get a foggy patch at the bottom of the windshield, on both sides, but more predominant on the drivers side.....and oval shaped patch....when I run the wipers, it removes it momentarily, and then returns.....
What's the deal, and what's the fix? Pretty annoying problem!!!!.
Oh, and by the way, if any of you can pitch, the Yankees are in desperate need!!!!

I get the exact same thing occasionally. It is the result of high humidity and high temperature on the outside versus the cooler air on the inside hitting the lower part of the windshield. That combination causes the condensation or "foggy patch" on the windshield, just like the condensation on the outside of an iced drink in warm weather. You can raise the temperature setting so that the air from the windshield vents is not quite so cold. Once the glass gets to a more even temp, the fog should disappear.
Sorry, my pitching arm is shot. Killed it playing high school ball.

I just activate the foot and dash vents and NOT the the windshield vents. This disables the auto airconditioning mode but is better than having to periodically run the wipers.

Frank is right. The "Auto" setting opens all three vents (footwell, dash and windshield). During those especially humid days (that's April through October here in Houston), push the dash and footwell vent buttons and your problem is solved.
