I have Evolution 4 fabric. It's pretty much water proof even in rain storms. Get it custom made for best fit that won't get blown off by wind. Don't get the silver cover from Porsche since it isn't soft. Other good material include Weathershield. For the money NOAH and Evolution 4 are best materials under $200.

Checkout Griot's Garage and California Car Cover Company for prices. If you are really on budget, you can get Evolution 4 fabric (AKA Technalon) in generic shape for $100. I recommend a custom one though.

I've got the white one from Porsche with the big crest on the bonnet. It's a nice soft material. Has not blown off yet and seems to keep the car reasonably clean. Perfect fit.

I've got a custom fit Techsoft cover (Cover Craft) from carcoversdirect.com. It is really just for dust (I put it on the car in the garage), but it works great for that (also have a PITA cat that occasionally likes to stroll on the car). When I store it I have a "Car Jacket" which fully encases the car. Pathetic I know.

Car jacket - is that the clear air bubble that encapsulates the car?

I use the Porsche OEM Silverguard - custom fit with flannel inserts around bumper areas. Great to keep dust and bird turd away, highly reflective silver material keeps sun effects to a minimum. Not sure about waterproof capability (not my intention). But for about $120.00 (inc. shipping) from Sunset Porsche, it is a great value.

No, it's kind of like a huge zip-lock. It zips all around to seal the freshness in! Keeps varmints out of the car in storage.

I've got the Porsche grey one with the crest on the cover. My salesman threw it when I bought the car - along with floor-mats. I gave them the cover for my Targa when I traded it in.

I'm happy with it, but it's for in the garage only. It just keeps dust off the car when I'm away for awhile. It wouldn't protect well against rain.
