I thought about placing below the curve and got several opinions (including my own ) and much prefer it above the curve. 2 reasons I did it that way.....(1) 99-01 is above and (2) I like it.

Black on your SY would look good. My car came with the black Carrera emblem, and was almost invisible so I changed it to a brushed silver logo. Looks better, IMO.
