Question How Do I remove switch "blank" ?

Can anyone tell me how to remove a "blank" switch face so that I can install an actual switch... I'm doing the garage door DIY and I can't get the darm switch blank face out of the ashtray assembly.

Thanks,
Mark

it is just pressure fitted with a small locking lip. Squeeze the sides or stuff a thin screw driver down the side to pop it out.

In addition, depending where you are going to install the switch, like in the horseshoe, you would take the horseshoe off first (easy) and as Cpa4S above says just squeeze the sides or pry with a thin screwdriver to pop out.

If you are going to put the switch in the console, take out the ashtray by removing the two placement torx screws to access the underside of the and pop it off it the same manner as above.

Good luck...

Just like nipples. Put your thumb on one side and your forefinger on the other side and squeeze... HARD!
