Update on MAF failure and whining sound!
Just got back from the dealer where they replaced the Power steering fluid reservoir (bulletin 1/05 4897). The whine is gone!
Also for those with the EVO V-flow...I had a MAF failure last week. They cleaned the filter and re-oiled (lightly) as they suspect the filter (over-oiled) is the reason for the MAF failure. So far so good. Nice to have the boost back.
They also said the MAF can be cleaned!
Prestige Porsche in Lakewood, CO handled the whole thing quite nicely!
