Default OT: Why I love the British Automotive Press

I love the way the Brit car mag writers do it. This is from EVO magazine, from a piece about the M6 vs the Ferrari 612. The gist of the article is that they are similar on paper, but...you get the idea.

Here are some exerpts:

"Nor is there the feral snargling as the engine goes to work..."

"Voluminous, industrious and potent too, but a long way from the howling rort-fest you might imagine"

"The Scaglietti's acceleration is savage and inexorable in equal measure"

Can these guys turn a phrase, or what?

Nice find - I love that magazine - best subscription I have ever purchased. So well written and plenty of Porsche fans among the objective writers

i used go to dalton's booksellers every month to pickup the brittish rag "car" before i was even old enough to drive, just to read ljk setright. motorsport, octane, evo et al. now fills the gap, but it's still no setright.

Content wise the British mags are superior to the Car and Driver type mag's.
So well written witha touch of Brit humour, very enjoyable EVO and CAR are both entertaining, especially EVO
