I've enjoyed my 2001 c2 996 coupe for almost a year now. Looking at upgrades and mods and already did IMS/RMS and age-related issues. What would you do if you were me and not looking to track but rather wanted a spirited daily driver?

This is what i did, after what youveyy already done, to my '03 C2 manual:
H&R lowering springs
Bilstein B8 Sport shocks
17mm spacers all around

Great ride height, and wheels flush with body.
Handling road biased, go coilovers for serious track work

Thanks Audidude, good insight. I like the idea of spacers/flush wheels. Is the ride too harsh with the h&r springs and bilsteins And, did you look at doing full bilstein suspension coil overs? I'm not going to track car and don't want ride to be back breaking

1 : the ride is definitely not harsh , my wife is happy with it!
2 : didn't want coilovers, as not tracking the car and spend enough time fiddling with the coilovers on my race car. If you like tinkering and tuning then coilovers may be best for you . You will definitely have more flexibility with them.

I must do this^^. Looks good and still fulfills the mission: fun, versatile performance.

I have basically same setup Bilsteins, H/R Sport springs and H/R Adj Rear Sway Bar, w/ exception 15 F/23 R spacers.
Next add I'm thinking of is underdrive Pulley.

Ok, you guys convinced me on the B8/H&R setup. Seems like it's a popular set up and more affordable than PSS10s. Now time to scavenge the web for some deals.

I just did my springs yesterday and install a set of B&G springs, love the look now and the ride is even better, my wheels have a front offset of 50 and rears are 60, I am running 7mm spacers front and rears.

got profile pics of lowered cars?

Mine is factory sport suspension and I love the look, plus the wheels seem pretty flush to the fenders (maybe the rears could come out more, but not much). I'd like to see better comparison pics. Here's two of mine:
