Loving my new 5 spokes. Looks and drives much better with no more rubbing on the back roads!

Love the early 996s with those wheels.

But I might be biased..

Your car actually inspired me. It looks really good in your avatar and I always take a good look when I see you comment haha. Is your interior boxster red?

What process did you use for your wheels? Gunmetal powder coat?

I'm guessing coilovers. If the car is that low I'd like the option of changing ground clearance.

Right...

1) Wheels were prepped, painted, and satin clearcoated by a local shop. 30,000 miles later and they look pretty good still. Like a good driver quality. I don't kid-glove the car if you know what I mean .

2) Bilstein PSS9, H&R sway bars... it's low but it doesn't bottom out on speed bumps.

It also has a lightweight flywheel, RS motor mounts and a 997 shifter.

fun fact....it has done 245,000 km total (although there are only 125,000 km on the reman motor installed under warranty in 2005).

Here is a shot after full paint correction and ceramic coating. Came out pretty nice!

And that, dear Sir, is a stunner!

Only thing I wouldn't have done is ceramic it. It will eventually swirl, and then you have issues. Besides I love using my DA Rupes!
Oh, and I prefer the 996 lights rather than 997 lookalikes, bit that's purely personal.

Just got my coil overs installed and the new wheel and tire setup. Wheels are Kinesis K19R 3 piece forged 19x11.5" et51 305/25/19 and 19x8.5" et 50 235/35/19. Rear does not rub it clears the fenders 100% it did require a fender roll since its a 99 but unnoticeable from the outside.
