New to these boards, but I think the grey looks great! I have the black interior, but in Texas, the grey would probably be better for the heat.

Wonder how black sport seats would look in a grey interior? It should be alright as long as I remove the rear grey seats right?

I think that if you did other black accents it would be good, otherwise, I think it would look very bad.

You could paint various parts (that often get done in AS) shiny black to match the seat backs, get black floor mats, etc. so there is an overall 'theme' to the interior...

Yeah i think you're right.. I already have the black floormats. Maybe I could get the center console in a black gloss finish.
To top it off, i'm gonna go with the black bumper plugs..

Also, I was getting a Cab and was worried with the top down it would get too hot.

Well the new black is a nice flat black that has stayed that way, and it really doesn't get that hot.

Shocked to see this thread, because I too just hate that color interior, just too damn chicken to admit it. Just too light colored for my taste. If I had to buy one to get the right car in every other respect, I would do the following:

Carbon fiber steering wheel and other trim pieces
Install black carpet

Different strokes for different folks (I don't like silver cars either). Give me a black full leather or beige/wood interior anytime.

I have the graphite gray interior and I really like it. I also have the deviating metropol blue carpet, which adds depth to the interior and compliments the Lapis Blue exterior color.

I am very happy with my grey interior to offset the midnight blue. I find that small cars feel less confining with light interiors. Also, any convertible with dark interior tends to bake in the sun if you park with the top down, and I don't like to fry my back and derriere when I get in!

I am Sorry guys but.... damm , that light gray is pretty ugly to me, I feel it makes it look like plastic more then anything else. Some of you have done a good Job Making it look better, but just think how good it would look if it were black? This is just my thoughts and should' nt mean anything to those of you , who do like it

I think the key to the grey interior is FULL LEATHER. I saw the difference between mine (full) and another car (an instructor's car I went for a ride in that had no leather upgrades). WOW!!!! what a difference. The biggest and noticable difference was the dash. Looks fugly in plastic or what ever it is. Had a vinyl basketball look and feel to it.

I have to agree though that the full grey interior is boring. Didn't think so when I ordered the car but over time it really got BORING! I spruced mine up with the following changes recently (thanks to this board I am going broke):

Pedals
Black Mats
Trim Rings
AS Steering Wheel
AS Center Console
AS Door bins and pulls
AS/Black Vents
Misc black pieces to offset and set the Black/Grey/AS theme
And many others not as visible in pics.......

Full leather Grey is a great colour, although I have replaced the grey mats with black ones mostly for practical reasons (the weather in the UK!). My Lapis Blue has the grey broken up by some bits of aluminium, just deciding on whether or not to introduce some more........
