Default Streaks on driver's side window

There is a streak on the window at the driver's side after the opening and closing of the window. I understand that it may be caused by some dirt on the window regulator pad. I guess the dealer can take the door apart and change the regulator pad. But the problem is that I am not comfortable with them taking the door apart. I am worried that more noise and rattles will be created after having the door is being taken apart. What do you think?

I have the same streaks. Doesn't happen all the time, fairly often. I'm like you, once you take something apart you can't ever get it perfect again and rattles could pop up. So for now I just wipe the windows and deal with it.

Same here--I can live with it, unless it gets worse.

It has been discussed before, and most 996s have this problem. I would just leave it alone.

The dealer just fixed both windows on mine under warranty, he said he had to readjust the regulators. No noise after the work is done. It is a fairly common problem.
