Default Wheel size on a C4

I am going to buy winter weels now. (They are cheaper this time of the year)
Since my P is a C4 I know that the size of the weels are important not to destroy the tranny. Can I use 205/50 17" on the front and 255/40 17" on the back?

I've used Dunlop Winter M2's rear 255 40 R17, front 225 45 R17. For my 2001 C4, and my 2004 C4s I used 6mm spacers in the front and 25mm spacers in the rear.

I've been running this setup for 4 years with zero problems.
