Default Electronic Oil Gauge

Performed my first oil change today. Everything went beautifully. However, after I put in about 9 liters ,the gauge only illuminated the very bottom segment, ie below the line which the lower 'v' arrow points too.
I'm reluctant to add more oil incase I overfill. The engine was at operating temperature and the car was on level ground, and the reading only took about 40 seconds. What should I do?

TIA

JASON

Does your car have a dipstick? If so, let it settle overnite and read the stick.

Thanks for the encouragement.

Generally a physical inventory of the oil is the most reliable. Mine took 9.5 after an overnight drain, including filling the filter before reinstalling.
